Tie rod ends help steer the vehicle by making the wheels turn. They connect the wheels of the vehicle with the suspension and steering system. Depending on the road and driving conditions, the tie rod ends will loosen over time which causes the front end of the vehicle to fall out of alignment and makes it more difficult for the vehicle to drive straight.
